Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director or designated supervisor, the Lifeguard Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of staff, activities, and facilities during their scheduled shift. Provide excellent service, general oversight, supervision, and safety of members and guests. Will perform professional duties in ensuring the effective performance of lifeguard functions. This position will be responsible for leading and coaching their staff teams in the delivery of an outstanding member experience. This position’s time may be split between supervising, planning, and implementing, guarding, instructing, as well as administrative work.
Salary Range: $19.26 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time hourly, Non-Exempt
Days/Hours: Monday-Friday from 4:40 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and one Sunday per month from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field; YMCA experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Current LG required, LGI preferred
- Complete and maintain required trainings to include but not limited to: New Employee Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention (CAP), and Sexual Harassment upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
